We're being cautiously optimistic that this will only be a temporary lay off. It all really depends on how soon the feds loosen their restictions on loans again.

Come East young man....I could really use you here Chad..I know you do wonderful tile work, but can you also do hardscaping?  I got an estimate for a project in July and the guy still hasn't had time to fit me in..

I hope things straighten out and you get back to work real soon.

I stopped in Best Buy tonight to look at software and I was amazed that the place was overflowing with people..lines were long and the parking lot was full. If I didn't know better, I would never believe we were in tough economic times.  I guess some people either have money or still have good credit!! :-/

Don't feel bad Chad,it's just the way things are these days.  In my 22 years of construction,I've never seen it this bad.

No, everyone is slow around here. My dad has had guys from the hall calling him all year looking for work.
