To all who post here, thanks for some great info on a complex purchase - Greatly Appreciated and very helpful.
Wondering if anyone here would pay $1000 more for a similar model Tiger River/Hot Spring over a Sundance and why?
Visited three dealers today, D-1, Hot Springs, and Sundance to find a 4-5 person, open seating hot tub for myself, wife, and two children for relaxing/un-winding.
Regular use of a defribulator has restored heartbeat at each price unveiling as we toured the show rooms. (I could use the hot tub now to recover)
Agree with other newbies that buying a hot tub is an uncomfortable exprerience due to lack of info on fair price. Want to pay a fair price and keep a good dealer in business, but also don't want everyone at the dealership to be doing high fives with each other after I leave with a hot tub purchased.
Did not gain confidence/warm fuzzy from local D-1 dealer operation, so ruled them out, though the product looked good.
Owned a Sundance in late 90s in Austin, good experience. Hanging out in the tub became a family ritual/tradition. Just purchased new home in The Woodlands, TX and looking to add patio and hot tub.
Out of ignorance, set aside/budgeted just $5K cash for hot tub for new house. Now looking for a good value for family. After wet testing today, we did not see value in $9K-$10K for the top of the line technology/jets/options., etc.. Like to own nice toys, but still drive old Honda that won't die.
Hoping to receive some feedback on fairness of quoted prices for these 2005 tubs compared to whay you paid plus any thoughts from any who have looked closely at these two tubs. Would like to hear things you like about these tubs and things they wish were improved/better. Would anyone here pay $1000 more for a Tiger River/Hot Springs Caspain vs a Sundance Bahia and why?
Both prices listed below are quoted without sales tax with cover, steps, delivery, start-up-chem, pneumatic cover lifter.
Tiger River Caspian: $7,095
Sundance Bahia: $5,900
Both tubs seem pretty close features/size wise, but based on price, leaning towards the Bahia. We wet tested similar models at dealership, dry tested these particular models.
Thanks for your help,
