how long does it take for damage to set in if the ph/ta is too high or too low?  Is it more than a day /week or is it over time, letting the chems get out of balance every couple of weeks? I don`t have any problems as i was just wondering as most warranties won`t cover chem damage.

I would be a relationship between how low and how long, not just a function of time alone.

Therefore it is difficult to answer your question. If you test and adjust weekly or biweekly you are likely going to be ok.

i know that marquis will cover the element under warranty even if its due to ph or ta. i was also told that they soaked it in water with a ph level of 4 and it lasted 365 days or so.
