Yesterday at work I cut a dime sized chunk out of my thumb on my right hand. It's almost a 1/4'' deep and hit a few small arteries. They call it an avulsion. It was pretty nasty. Between the blood loss and the 100+ degree heat I fainted but only for a few moments. Anyways, the doc said to keep it away from water and moisture for a few weeks while it heals, so no soaking for awhile.
I also have to change the dressing twice a day. Kind of hard to do with one hand but luckily for me I have a neighbor who is a paramedic.
I can only imagine what would have happened if I wasn't wearing my heavy duty rubber gloves.
Just thought I'd let you all know that I'll be around a little more than usual. If that's even possible. ;D
