I have a Jacuzzi J-470 on order. I found out about smartSeal too late to have it factory installed. The dealer said it could be installed after by there crew. The dealer should have offered it as a option.

My question is how much extra would it have cost me for factory installation when I ordered it and can it be added after?

  Hey Dan while I think it probably works to a point, would you really see 10 to 15 dollar savings on the monthly bill?  Probably not, so why bother?  The other thing is it wasn't around 3 years ago and the spa's did fine.     

  To the original poster if your still around?  I have never heard of it being installed after the factory not sure its an option or if I could actually order it in as say a part?  That being said if the dealer never mentioned it, he might feel the same way I do about it.

I checked with Jacuzzi and they informed me a jacuzzi trained tech could install it aftermarket. I purchased it from my Dealer The Great Escape in Joliet IL for $350.00 installed.
