concrete pad or patio pavers?

Going to be getting a new patio for my Sundance Optima 880 hot tub.  Some say it's fine to put the hot tub right on the patio pavers as long as the base is good.  Others say it's best to do a concrete pad for under the hot tub, then pavers around it.

Any recommendations?

Patio pavers if they are already there....and level.

There is an existing patio, but was not professionally installed and is not perfectly level.  I am replacing.
