Ambulance chasers

My wife was in an accident Saturday and is fine other than a little bruised and sore. (Another good reason to have a hot tub.)


I was thinking maybe spa dealers should be like the ambulance chasers that have been calling our house non-stop despite being on the DO NOT CALL LIST.   I was thinking maybe you spa dealers would make more money if you would go buy the local accident reports and call these people.

"I understand you were in an accident, there is nothing better to help recover from the aches and pains of a traffic accident than a brand new hot tub!  No money? We have lawyers on staff who can work a new hot tub into any settlement, let the other people buy it for you!

Sadly, we may need to get lawyers involved, but it won't be one that calls our house unsolicited.

PS At last count,  calls from 5 doctors, 10 collision services, 4 chiropractors, and only 1 lawyer.   And 20 complaints the donotcall.gov

Glad your wife is OK - and

I thought your idea was funny! If it didn't lump me in with the lawyers, I might give it a try.

But I would stand by the door of the ER of our local hospital.

Hmm. This might not be as bad as I though.....

My wife and I are refinancing our home. That means that within a short period of time, we will begin to get the thousands of bits of advertising relating to home-ownership. I know list people love refinancers - I just wish I could find a way to use all the junk mail to heat the house or something useful.

If you receive junk mail that has return envelopes with the "no postage neccessary if mailed in the United States" - just stuff it with other junk mail and send it!  

Apparently companies that use those envelopes are only charged for the postage if the envelope is actually used... so sending it back to them with more crap inside is not only fun and therapeutic, it may actually cost them!!

So I have been told...  ;D

I guess the lawyers prefer the US Mail,  10 lawyer solicitations by mail yesterday.

I remember where I worked back in 1981 each returned envelope cost 65 cents.  I have to think that has gone up.   I regularly call 800 numbers listed in some spam and regularly return calls at 11pm from people who solicitations at home and our too stupid to block their numbers.
