Although we bought the spa in January, we finally had it installed and in use in March. We had an enclosure built for the spa and this took some time to complete. We spent about two months researching spas and doing wet tests before deciding on this spa. We derived a lot of benefit from this forum and these reviews so we wanted to provide some content for others as soon as possible even though we have only been using the spa for less than one week.
Everything about the purchase, delivery and orientation was handled well by our dealer. I would like to emphasize right now that selecting a dealer is as important as selecting a spa in terms of your overall ownership experience. During our spa shopping research, it became obvious to me that some dealers from some of the manufacturers don't take much ownership of post-sale issues. While in the store of another manufacturer, I witnessed a dissatisfied buyer of a four-month old spa in need of warranty repair being told by a dealer that the dealer could do no more than place a call to the same third-party service techs that had not been responding to the buyer in a timely manner. If my Marquis has a problem four months from now, I expect my dealer to do more for me than throw me a copy of the Yellow Pages and he has assured me that he takes ownership of all seeing all warranty issues through to completion to the customer's satisfaction. If this type of support matters to you, then I would question the dealer you are considering dealing with in detail on how service issues are handled.
We absolutely love the spa experience and now understand why so many others are so passionate about their spas. Since we live in the desert, we love the two jetted cool down seats in the Euphoria. Feeling a cool desert breeze across ones arms and 100 degree from the waist down is very relaxing and soothing. The tremendous flexibility of seating options and the many ways to manipulate the jet therapy have us still discovering new "favorite" seat/jetting options even after using the spa . The Euphoria offers three zones of jet therapy, neck jet adjustability, air/water mixture adjustability, individual jet water flow adjustability (not on every jet) and two-speed pumps. While this may sound like more bells and whistles than one would use or care about, we find ourselves getting real benefit from the flexibility. I am not a huge fan of high-powered jets blasting away at me on a routine basis, but when I have a kink in my lower back, it is nice to have the option. My wife, on the other hand, loves to run the pumps on high. We find that we both can always find a way to adjust seats or jets to accomodate both of our preferences at any given time.
After we have lived with the spa for a more extended time period, we will post another review.

This being our first hottub purchase, I did extensive research and chose the Euphoria. We're very happy with our tub, and it gets used MANY times a day still after two months.
The HK-40 jets are awesome as both back massagers and foot massagers. The tub is very quiet even with the jets on high; our friends noted this and they have a D-1 Chairman.
Our first month's electricity bill went up by about 35 Cdn$, not too bad considering a fill and it is December in Canada...

Pros:
Great seating arrangement, powerful jets, quiet pumps, beautiful cabinet and shell
Cons:
Expensive... but you get what you pay for! Also, a slight annoyance is that the outside light (which I thought was a great idea... illuminating the entry steps) is only on when the lights INSIDE the tub are on. Fairly useless. |

I did a lot of research into tubs, of course can't do it all but when your doing the research you think your covering all the bases. Anyway, we narrowed it down to 5 tubs in our area and picked the Euphoria because it had the best variety of seating arrangements for my wife who is 5 feet tall and my son who is 4'9" and myself who is 5'8". The jet placements seems to be in great positions, and I really like no pillows for head rests. Didn't think so at first but they have shaped the head rests just perfect for me. I also love the 2 cool off seats with jets. They are the best. More than enough power and we usually turn the jets down a litte. I really like the fact that you can individually turn down the jets. The whirlpool action from the jets is a favorite and the only tub that does this effect with results. The color lighting makes the water different colors and everyone goes whoooo when it does it's thing. I had a little scratch on the cover and if you looked right you could see it easily, the dealer ordered me a new one no problem. And when they installed the cover lifter they missed with the drill and scratched the dura lifter piece. They told me so I didn't find it and replaced it. I have another tiny little scratch in the dura lifter and they wanted to replace that piece too, but I said let me paint it and see what happens. After-all don't want to be too anal. But you can be and our dealer will make sure your taken care of. Great service and warranty. The ozonator is a little noisey cause of the air and water coming out under high pressure. They all do this so not a structural or operational concern, and when the jets are all on you can't hear it, but can feel it in that seat, so it seems like a little extra butt massage, but wish it was quieter. And even though I love the shell layout and strength, the colors suck. It has taken awhile to get used to the white one and I have convinced myself it looks like snow so it has become nice to me, but my first impression was they are ugly. Wish they had a nice pearl one or something, then my wife would have fallen in love at first and not after much convincing. But I understand Marquis philosophy of making a tub, and that is strength, reliability and longivity and there they have succeeded even with the shells. Just love this tub.

Pros:
Great jet placements, extremely well made, wonderful color light system, quiet, lots of variety in jets, very powerful jets, ability to switch out the jets, lots of variety of seat heights, warranty, Dura shell is very strong and the enclosure is very nice looking. Customer service is the best.
Cons:
Ozonator makes a slight clunking type noise as the air and water go through the jet, shell colors are plain, - they only have 3, white, blue, and green and look like cheap plastic, but we did come to like our white one, kinda reminds me of sitting in a snow field. Price is higher than most tubs, but I think you get what you paid for, just wish I didn't have to pay this much for one. |
