Purchased my Myrtle Beach from a local dealer a year and a half ago. Got it for therapeutic reasons and best decision i have made. Had chronic back pain and has improved my dramaticaly. To date I haven't had a single problem...fingers crossed. Used to own a Jacuzzi and had it rot and mold away after only 4 years.

I purchased a clearwater unit in july 2012 from Costco. In November, the heating element shorted out. In April/May of 2013, the cover to the main light broke. Sometime during the winter the LED lights went out of sinc to where different colors were showing. FINAL straw, in July/August of 2013, the tub started leaking at the center of the floor and there was dried bromine inside the insulation from the leak. Costco gladly took it back (Costco's GREAT!) but I also purchased a salt generator which I didn't pay for at Costco - I paid direct to the factory. Coscto gave me every penny I paid them for the spa - Clearwater will not return my $978 for the salt generator - "it's out of the one year warranty". They're expensive and poor quality/customer service. FYI - they also go by Divine Spas and are on Costco's website catalog. Costco carries other brands online - chose one of them!

We purchased this spa new in August 2012. It is wonderful to sit in and we really enjoy the quality -- except that it is on it's fouth leak. The first leak was due to a LED light that had no silicone. It dripped on the stereo and that had to have that replaced. Since the, we are on the third leak (in different areas). Clearwater refused to pay their service person the last time he was out, spending two hours fixing what is clearly a manufacturing or quality control error. The tub is under warranty, but Clearwater refuses to pay the repairman on the basis that he should have fixed the leaks on his last service visit. Now my husband and I are in the middle of this mess, and the tub has yet another leak as of last week. For what that tub cost, this is ridiculous. My husband has spend numerous hours talking to Clearwater salesman, reps, and service people. He seems to be getting the run around, as no one wants to take ownership. We are almost to the point of trying to contact Ron Clearwater, the CEO. Also, both the old and new stereo shuts off, I assume after it runs too long and gets hot? The whole experience is too bad, because the tub is otherwise amazing.

Pros:
Incredible jets, nice quality.
Cons:
Stereo shuts off after about 45 minutes.
We are on internal leak #4 in 10 months from time of delivery, and Clearwater refused to pay their repairman on his last trip to fix it. We have a warranty, and we're supposed to pay his service charge? It's not like he caused these problems. If Clearwater's reps would be concerned and do something to make it right, I would not be on this website right now. |

Pros:
Definitely the most therepuetic desing on jet placements (Hydrotherapy) - spa quality. I was quoted $12,000, lights, stereo, speakers, steps, cover etc NOT INCLUDED.
Cons:
I was quoted $12,000, lights, stereo, speakers, steps, cover etc NOT INCLUDED. So I checked my emembers only large club store on line, local national home improvement stores, local International one-stop discount store with nothing but big yellow smiles for the prices. I am chosing the Large national membership club store for HUGE features under $5000 with great mechanics. I know my club sotre well - they stand behind their goods. |
