So far so good...

This is our first hot tub, intended to be somewhat of a starter tub...if we still use it a lot after a couple of years, the plan would be to upgrade to a larger one with more jets/power. So far so good! We use it almost every night. Delivery guys were terrific, took care of everything with a great attitude, even in the pouring rain! The tub heated up to 99 degrees in only 6 hours, so we were in it the same night. It seems to hold heat very well, although it is not winter at the moment (late spring). We rarely (if ever?) have to run the heater because the heat from the pumps during filter cycles seems to keep the water temp up enough on it's own. Often we get in at 98-99 degrees and the water is soon up to 100-101 from the pump heat only! The real test will come in the winter though...the Coyote's have similar insulation to the Arctic's but thinner, as well as a thinner cover. One thing we are concerned about is the rigid insulation on most of the six door panels is only about 3/4" thick. And the floor seems to vary from 3/4" to 1" or so. The walls are 2" thick as they should be (I contacted the manufacturer and they said all walls/doors/floor of the Coyote's should be 2".). So I'm not sure why they skimped on the door panels and floor...holds heat very well now, but we will see how much affect this has come winter. I may have to demand the manufacturer add some more insulation, to match what they told me should be there. Everything else seems to be working fine, no leaks, water chemistry is easy to maintain, etc...but it's only been one month. Will update if this "so far so good" status changes.

Date Purchased: 5/2009
Price Paid: $5000
Recommend: Yes
Pros:
Appearance (mocha w/ cedar skirt and chrome package)
Hot and Bubbly
Access inside cabinet

Cons:
Cover could be a bit thicker
"Therapy Air" blows cold air into the water
Cedar panels bit of a pain to remove/reinstall
Insulation installation quality control could be better
Can't adjust filter cycle frequency, only duration.
