Paid for it 14. Months ago. Recieved it 5 months later. Every thing damaged and the wrong color. Used 2 months and the chiller kicked in which over heats and pops the breaker. Two months of 115+ degrees here and no tub. I could go on, but will suffice it by saying we currently have the Attorney General of Tennessee and The BBB both Az. And Tennessee involved. With that in mind I bring this to your attention as a request for any advice, help and sympathy. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Pros:
Absolutely. Whether I get them to pick it up or not, it's going regardless of financial loss. I'll sell it or burn it.

Please be a wise shopper!

Atera Spas has been caught misleading consumers by including the logo of the "Association of Pool and Spa Professionals" (APSP) on their website. They are NOT members of this professional organization. They have not been members of this organization since at least 2012.

Ask yourself why a company would do this.

I have never been treated so disrespectfully repeatedly by a business owner/director as I was by Joshua Reynolds, Director of Marketing, Four Season Home Products/Atera Spas

Actual -$1734.00

Actual - 13 hrs

Jets in spa area Pictured on TRAINER webpage –33 jets
Described on TRAINER webpage – 24 jets

Strength System bolts to be installed in factory. Joshua Reynolds/Cynthia Reynolds acknowledged receipt of same. NOT INSTALLED

Spa covers in cardboard boxes in 3 inches of water during the entire transport from Arizona to Washington State. Boxes fell apart when lifting the water-logged 8' long packages out of the spa.

Diverter knob on spa side never worked, was not connected to anything, and just spins around and around and is always lying on the spa floor when the cover is taken off.

Requested diagram of spa 5 times (no diagrams other than electrical wiring were included with purchase.) Savannah S sent a hand drawn picture of my “custom” spa created with a ruler and ink pen on printer paper. TO THIS DAY, JUNE 17, 2016 I DO NOT HAVE A DIAGRAM OF MY “CUSTOM" SPA. I HAVE A DIAGRAM OF MY TOASTER, MY ELECTRIC KNIFE, AND A FLIP TOP TUNA CAN BUT A DIAGRAM WAS NOT PROVIDED FOR MY $15,846.00 SWIM SPA.

Warranty on Topside Temperature Control - Three Years on Standard Spa Equipment – Electronic Spa Controls. After 4 months, Topside Control Cool Down button does not work 95% of the time. Cannot get it to go below 98 degrees; RISK OF HYPERTHERMIA PRECLUDES USE UNTIL FIXED OR THE WEATHER TURNS COLD.

CUSTOMER SERVICE - I rarely received a timely email response/telephone callback after I authorized payment. Took Atera 3 days to acknowledge my order and payment autho and then I had to send an email asking them to please respond to whether they received it or not.

MISOGYNISTIC ATTITUDE – I have never been treated as disrespectfully by a business owner/director as I was by Joshua Reynolds.

When I told Joshua Reynolds the spa I received looked nothing like the picture they used to represent the spa on its webpage, Joshua Reynolds, Director of Marketing, said to me, a paying customer, "OH. SO YOU DON'T READ YOU JUST LOOK AT LITTLE PICTURES."

When I requested a diagram of my spa so I could identify terms used in the “start-up instructions” Joshua Reynolds said "IT'S VERY SIMPLE, BRENDA." I told him that maybe for him it is because he works in that industry but it is foreign to me. Joshua Reynolds, Director of Marketing said, "IF YOU CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DIVERTER, A VALVE, AND A JET, WE SHOULD HAVE HAD THAT DISCUSSION A LONG TIME AGO."

After I requested diagrams of my “custom” spa 4 times, REPRESENTATIVES OF ATERA WENT ON THEIR WEBSITE AND CHANGED THE NUMBER OF JETS ADVERTISED (24) TO THE LOWER NUMBER OF JETS THEY SENT ME (20). A month or so later in an email from Charles Reynolds II, President of Atera Spas, and Four Season Home Products, he said, “JUST TO CLARIFY, WE HAVE NEVER OFFERED ANY SWIM SPA WITH 24 JETS ON THE SPA SIDE SO WE ARE NOT SURE WHERE YOU GOT THAT IDEA.”

I got that idea from their website before they changed it between January 5th and January 7th, 2016. CONTACT ME AND I WILL SEND YOU THE DATED PDF'S OF THEIR WEBSITE BEFORE AND AFTER THEY CHANGED IT.

I phoned Joshua Reynolds after the delivery of my spa and he finally called back 4 days later. I told him that we had a few problems that needed to be worked out. Joshua Reynolds said he couldn’t imagine what, that it was what I ordered. I told Joshua Reynolds that it was NOT what I had ordered and what they represented the Trainer spa to be and that I felt like I had been screwed. JOSHUA REYNOLDS SAID "IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE RUDE I AM NOT GOING TO TALK TO YOU!

Charles Reynolds suggested a remedy to the discrepancies they knew existed (or they would not have changed the website to reflect what they sent me) with the spa that was sent me. They offered me $600.00 in lieu of the 2 jets they left off of spa end OR they would send their technician (most likely another family member) to install 2 more jets and the bolts for the strength resistance system. UNFORTUNATELY, THAT DOESN'T CUT IT. THEIR WEBSITE STATED THE SPA END HAD 24 JETS AND THE PICTURE THEY WERE PASSING OFF AS THE TRAINER SPA HAD 33. ALSO, BEFORE I PURCHASED THE SPA, JOSHUA REYNOLDS SAID BY PHONE AND ON AN EMAIL THAT THE BOLTS HAD TO BE INSTALLED IN THE FACTORY DIRECTLY INTO THE FRAME BECAUSE OF THE RISK OF CRACKING THE ACRYLIC SHELL. WHY IS IT NOW OK TO GO AGAINST WHAT HE SAID BEFORE?

IN CLOSING, I began researching every hot tub review site available on the internet. ANYTIME YOU READ AN ONLINE REVIEW OF ATERA SPAS WRITTEN BY “SAVANNAH S,” “INTHIA,” “CYNTHIA R,” OR “CYNTHIA REYNOLDS,” KNOW YOU ARE READING A REVIEW SCRIPTED BY AN EMPLOYEE/OWNER OF ATERA SPAS/FOUR SEASON HOME PRODUCTS, INC./ FOUR SEASONS LEISURE/FOUR SEASON SPA VILLAGE.

Pros:
the penguins in the advertisement

Cons:
DISMAL customer service/company does not accept responsibility for their deceptive advertising

EMPLOYEES of Atera leave 5star reviews on websites such as SAVANNAH S on this site

After 4 months, Topside Control Cool Down button does not work

no diagrams other than electrical wiring are included with purchase

water diverter knob always lying on the spa floor when the cover is taken off

Atera uses homeowner's electricians as scapegoats claiming any spa not working properly was not hooked up correctly by electrician thus giving them a way out of honouring warranties
