The FL-1 could possibly be an airlock in the line. My first tub which was the j-325, I always got that damn problem. It would flash for about 1 minute and then fix itself and operate as normal. Then my 2nd tub came with a bad motherboard. Wouldn't heat past 78 and had a tech come out 3 days...
Honestly, the electrician is probably trying to get you to buy new wire so he gets paid more. One electrician came out to my home and said the same thing and quoted me 1050.00 just to change the wires and then was told he was wrong by another electrician who wasn't on commission base. If the...
Would anyone know what the brand goes off of when rating people in the tub? Its a weird question but over the weekend had some family over. We are no small fries. 2 are over 6 ft tall and roughly around 240- 250 and then myself which is around 225 and my Brother which I would say is around 200. ...
Does the spa sit in direct sunlight? When I was in Vegas during the summer I would set the heater to the lowest number setting and the water would still warm up to around 102 with a base ambient of 79.
If I am reading you correctly during the summer the spa is rising and kicking into summer...
Yep, I was just not sure about damaging the board. I was afraid to do damage by having a 60 amp breaker and running a 50 amp setup. But now I understand it all. And the J-335 has little switches that IMO is easier than working jumper settings. Was a very very simple change.
UPDATE: Was related to a relay, also found out a few tubs have had this problem, so I am glad I am not the blame :P.
On to the good stuff. The tech came out and we got the heater to work. Something he said may have been loose on the board and the heater was getting the voltage required so all...
As you all know I got my new tub On Thursday. Got it hooked up and tested GFCI and it did what it was supposed to do. All was well. No tripping or anything from operation, tub went through its entire boot sequence. My hose water was 77 degrees from the start and I began to heat it at around...
Amen to that. I was looking at the old manual on here. The crew did set up that and was super simple. Also they told me the wires were good and everything is good and all i need to do is re-connect the wires. I am so relieved that everything is going to work out and I am going to save 1000 or so...
Woo hoo, am taking official delivery of the new tub tomorrow. J-335 just in time for the cool fall weather and nightly soaks. With this post comes general questions and yes involves electricity.
So the tub comes factory set for 50A and my setup is a 60 amp breaker with wires that are only...
I have disconnected the wires from the reflections spa so they can just take it when they come to deliver the new tub. The tub sits about 6 feet from the house and around 5.5 feet from the breaker. I would say theres roughly 15 ft of wire that is in that current spot. The current draw according...
Right now is a reflections spa(no clue who they are) with a 3 wire 240V 60 amp hook up. The tub I am getting in replacement is a jacuzzi J-335 which will utilize the same 3 wire hook up.
