Does the cover lifter freeze in the winter time?

Technically, it's frozen in the summer as well. Freezing : the process of a liquid becoming a solid. Since the metal of a lifter is in a solid form, it's frozen.  

Ok ok, I get the message. I've never heard of water getting into the "works" and then freezing, stopping the cover lifter from operating.

Are you by chance referring to a cover mate 3 with hydraulic shocks?  I would think it would be no different then your car shocks...

Ahhh......all of this is good news.  Yes.....it's hydraulic.  But all that car stuff is a mystery to me.....I just put gas in the car and go.  

Oh good.....so glad that it doesn't freeze.  Didn't think it did since I never heard anybody complain about it or warn about freezing.

I found that last winter (1st winter with tub) here in NJ I would sometimes sweat in the 102º water. But it also wasn't 0º out either.

If you need it try a ski cap or ear muffs. Whatever you do don't wear a coat with a hood!
