What do you think is that green tint in my water?

No it is city water ph alkaline .......is right on the money

My tub has tinted water. My water company claims there's nothing in the water from them, my dealer tested it and nothing. They did try to say that it's electrolysis of my copper pipes. I think it may be a reflection or just the water. I was concerned when I first got it but not any more.

If it's a fresh fill run the jets for awhile, increase filter time til it clears, little dose of clarifier? It really looks pretty good from this angle. But I'm sure you've seen it better.

It it appears balanced and you have a chlorine residual, no, don't worry about it.

I have the same color water....maybe darker. The water in the tub was really dark green at my current house. Replaced that tub with another brand tub and no green. Moved the first tub to our summer house and the water there is green as well. Different water source. The color is not as dark in the new location. Dealer is baffled and no help.

Any advise?

No bromine...or chlorine. My wife is ultra sensitive to both so we have been using Nature2 and Ozone in both tubs. I occasionally shock with enhanced shock.

i dunno but seems like the lighter color tubs do that next time u goto spa store take a look at the white filled in comparision to the blue ones.thats what i thought anyway

This is always a bit hard to diagnose. Try taking a large, clear glass container, fill it with the water and place a bright white surface behind it. A larger diameter container will work better than a tall, thin one. If you can detect "green", (if not, we can try something else) then:

1) add about 1 teaspoon of bleach per gallon to the container (it may be a one gallon container).
2) mix
3) add 1 teaspoon of baking soda or until the pH gets above 9 (higher is better).
4) mix and let stand without moving it for, say 3 or 4 hours.
5) is the color still there? Is there any precipitate on the bottom of the container?
6) regardless of #5, take about three coffee filters and pour the water through them. Is there any discoloration (use white filters).

Let me know your results. Do you hav any clarifier or polymer available?

Vermonter......since the the tub I am having issues with is located at my summer place I will not be able to try your procedure until next weekend when I will be there. I will give it a shot. Thanks for the help.
