Used Jacuzzi (Possibly 345)
« on: August 26, 2006, 07:10:05 pm »
Does anyone recognize this?

http://www.azcentral.com/ipix/viewIpixAd.php?account=mactive/arizonarepublic&adid=0005013042-02&partnerlogo=http://www.azcentral.com/ipix/ipixlogo.gif&localitycode=en

The ad didn't specify the model, but when my brother called on it they said it was the J345.  Its hard to tell if it is the same one as on the Jacuzzi site OR if the was possibly not from the Premium line.

http://products.jacuzzi.com/nd/jpmv2.d2w/GLANCE?LENGTH=&WIDTH=&COLLECTION=AND%20CECOLL%3D|~|300|~|&JETS=&HEIGHT=&SEATS=&CAPACITY=&SEARCHREQ=1&NOITEMS=8&PG=J-345

The local dealer tells my brother the J345 currently sells for $6800-$7300... so is $4k firm a decent price for a 1 yr old one?  Any feedback on this spa, the price, etc., appreciated.

i think any used tub even 1 year old tubs usually go for half of paid price.  there will be no warrenty unless jacuzzi's is transferable.

Shameless bump for some feedback....

Oh and my brother went to the Jacuzzi dealer... he's still selling 05's... must be a tough market in PHX right now.  I think he's gonna wet test one next week to see how he likes it.

If he's still looking, the 345 is a very decent mid level spa.  I owned one before upgrading to the 355, which has the lcd control panel, and is larger.  At 7ft. square, it's a good size, and the jets are as powerful as the 355 or 365.  I would check to see if it's a new model with warranty or not.  Having said that, you'd have to have a lot go wrong to make up the difference between $4K and $7K.

I was looking at the J345 when I started my search....very nice seats, especially if you're a bit larger in the hiney. ;)  Good luck!

Brooke,

It does look like a j345, since it has the waterfall it must be the premium line. In the pretty expensive market here in the silicon valley I paid $6500 last year. That included the option package (cover, lift, steps, ozone).

I love my j345, smaller tub but nice open seating. If you're small and friendly you can squeeze 8 people in it. As TL and golf said good seats and good jets for a mid-priced spa.

I think you can get the warranty info off of the web, you should have him check the transferability. Having an intact (5/10) Jacuzzi warranty would be worth something.

JacuzziŽ spas have had waterfalls for 25-30 years. It was orriginaly designed as a fill spout for their bath tubs and was shortly thereafter incorperated into the hot tubs. I couldn't see in the picture if it had one diverter or two. If it only has one, it is the J-335 if it has two it is the J-345
