had a few people over this weekend for a barbecue and some jerk shook up a bottle of beer and shot it at the people in the hot tub....next morning my hot tub was looking very very sad....i shocked it with 3 capfuls if mps...waited about 8 hours and added water clarifier (came with startup kit) ...its now tuesday and the hot tub looks 100% better....just not quite what is was prior....should i shock it again or just let the filter do its job?? i have the d1 chairman II...thanks

People can be SO inconsiderate.  Add alcohol and it can get even worse. Sounds like you need more shock treatment to me.  Not on the tub, but rather on the "A$$hole" who was spraying the beer...

Speaking of filters, since it was nasty and you got it back to nice, I would go ahead and rinse the filters. Let them have a fresh start too.

You're on the right track. I think you should pull the filters and give them a rinse off and make sure you keep your sanitzer level where it should be. Beer is a tough one because of the yeast. Be very vigilant for the next few days, and don't invite that jerk back.

If it was Bud or Miller beer don't worry about it.  They're  practicly water anyhow.

I spilled a martini in my spa, chased the olive around for hours. Finally caught in the skimmer basket. ::)

Guests take a dip in beer pool

An Austrian holiday resort is offering guests the chance to swim in a pool containing 42,000 pints of beer.



The Starkenber Beer Myth resort located in and around the medieval castle of Starkenberger in Austria's Tyrol region has filled seven 13ft long pools with the beer.

The management claims that beer baths heal various skin diseases.

However, some guests are said to have enjoyed drinking their favourite brew while swimming in the pools.

Manager Markus Amann, 23, said: "I would rather swim than swallow, as we serve enough of a cold, fresh tapped beer on the bars next to the pools."

thanks guys...i rinsed the filters yesterday....its almost back to normal....the beer was corona

Beer in the tub...yea so? Happens all the time....LOL :P I clean mine with dichlor.
