Envoy Jet Pressure
« on: May 08, 2006, 09:47:40 pm »
I'm a proud owner of an 05' Envoy. The tub has been great but I do have one concern. I've noticed that the three Jet Stream jets do not seem balanced. The Jet Stream on Pump 1 seems at least 25% to 40% stronger than the two Jet Stream jets on pump 2. This is not scientific, since I'm using by feet to measure the jet pressure. I can definitely tell the difference between he two pumps though.

Anyway, is it possible to measure jet pressure with some type of pressure gauge instead of using my un-calibrated feet? What could cause this to happen?

I have a 05 Envoy. I cant tell any difference in the foot jets they all feel the same to me. Maybe check the filters pump one is on different pair of filters than pump two ???

Make sure the faceplates are tightened down.

Ok, if I call my dealer how will he determine if there is an issue? I'm assuming he's not going to hop in the tub. Isn't there a method to measure jet pressure?

I posted a similar question on my Marquis Epic.  There seemed to be a slight difference in the jet pressure between pump 1 and pump 2.

I was told to turn-off the waterfall (which does make a difference) and that pump 1 filters the water but not pump 2.  The seats that pump 2 operate get slightly greater jet action.

Don't know if any of this applies to your tub.

Take out the four filters not on gray tubes.

Climb in, shut off the Bellafontanna, then try the jets out. Be sure to try different positions of the diverters.

Thanks for the help Chas. I tried this but it didn't make a difference. The jets off pump 2 are noticeably weaker than pump 1 for some reason.  :(

I'll call tech tomorrow for you - I have had a few family issues and then the stupid Internet went down today - I have no idea what happened but I felt very out of touch.

Had to actually CALL in an order to HotSpring via the telephone...

Wow. What did we do before all of this?

No, they are no longer adjustable.

I would call the dealer, and stay on it.

I never got an answer from the factory - good old voice mail - let me try again on Tuesday.

Thanks Chas. I was hoping I could adjust the two Jetstream jets since they feel restricted and the other jets seem fine. I might need to hop in another Envoy before I bother my dealer.
