REALLY and you are sure to tell all your customers that? Or do you just show them the water flowing into the filter housing and exclaim, "SEE HOW GOOD OUR FILTER SKIMS AND CLEANS your water." Yeah, I thought so. ::)

To be perfectly honest, (and I rarely sell the tubs as I am mostly in service) the thought of turning on the pump to give an illusion of filtration never crossed my mind.
On the bottom of the Cameo spa, there is no room for another suction.  By putting it under the filter, they can comply with the 2 suctions for each pump deal.
You do not need to turn the pump on to show how well the Sundance 880s skim the water.

Well, in my case. With two trees about the tub, the little seed pods drop in whenever I'm in the tub or the wind is blowing hard. Putting the suction in the skimmer or filter bay, catches the floating seed pods more efficiently. More currant traps the little critters better. BTW this is my first tub and I have had perfect water from day one. I might add that most all the good tubs out there now have much better filtering than just a few years ago. So the arguing about which is better is a mute point. My son got me on this hot tub kick. He has this no name tub with very big pumps. But crummy filter. He is always fighting his water. Mine is absolutely a no brainier low maintaining issue. :)

I said a lot of stuff while I was pissed of at them. Thank goodness reps are only temporary in most regions.

I 99% sure I got that from you ... I kind of remember a person asking and you said the large Jacuzzi jets were powered by Sundance pumps and they didn't have the same performance as they used to have ... maybe I didn't get it from you!

Almost a year ago when I was considering the J385 I was told the same thing about Jacuzzi.  The comments here about Jacuzzi turned me off from buying it.

We took the J470 with the stereo to our home show back in April. In the first two hours of the first day I sold two.

We've never had that kind of reaction to a spa at our show.

I walked around and looked at what the other dealers had and (some of you will be angry at me for saying this) the Jacuzzi out classes the Optima by far.

It was the best looking spa at the show and other dealers even told me that.

This is not easy for me to admit because prior to this show our number one selling high end, high price spa has always been the Coleman 706. And I love Coleman...

Every spa in our booth was drawfed by the J470. It was the attention getter for us and we are now selling more J470's than Coleman 706's.

However in the midrange level we sell more Coleman 400 series that Jacuzzi 300 series. Urr, All these model numbers are starting to get confusing.

However, you need to compare 400 series with Maxxus if you are comparing jacuzzi to sundance.

Is everyone else getting a photobucket "Oops" error graphic in pkud's posts or is it just me?

There seems to be a lot of similarity in the J480 and Maxxus from the pictures but then again, in this industry we do see some of that so I guess there's no reason to be surprised that they'd look similar just (they are cousins afterall) and if it works, y not.

Are there separate designers for each side of the house?

Yes, they share ideas, but you cannot call Jacuzzi enginering and get Sundance specs and vice versa.
