Hi all. We just had our Envoy installed yesterday - it hit 100 degrees by 7PM - we were in already. Anyway, my dealer sells Rendezvous chemicals from a company called GLB Pool & Spa out of Georgia. I looked around on the Hot Spring dealer sites from the forum and can't find this line. Does anyone know about this line of products. What is the best stuff to put into the HS tubs? - Ron

There was a long post about the best chems just earlier in the week.

Basically all chems are the same (my position on this subject) and if your dealer sells chems at what you consider a reasonable price by all means use what they have and support your dealer.

But if you're going to pay too much for anything there are alternatives. If you do look at alternatives, make sure your getting the "equivilent" stuff for the money.

BTW, a cheap alternative to alk up IS baking soada - same stuff and way cheaper at the grocery store ($0.79 for 2 lbs).

GLB is a good line from the products I've used with them.  We carry a few of their enzyme and filter cleaners for our commercial customers and like them so well that we recommend them to many of our residential customers as well.

If we're using it 1000+ miles away then you can rest easy knowing it's a solid line.  But like Vinny said, just use what you like the best and is in your budget.

Stick with your dealers stuff. You and they will appreciate it in the long run.

Rendevous and Leisure Time are both GLB products.  Basically the same.
