Customer Excuses
« on: April 26, 2006, 07:03:50 pm »
Term's low blood pressue post made me think of some stupid things customers have said to get their deposit back.

I once lost a HS sale to the SD dealer down the street.  The customer came back and told me that her father was getting older and that the SD salesman pointed out that if "he started getting light headed from the hot water she could turn on the blower and it would cool the water down.  Hot Spring doesnt have a blower to do that."
....
....
Yep,.. I looked at her and said "Well, I guess I would just have him stand up and get out of the spa."

She suddenly had that "Boy am I stupid" look on her face.   She still took her deposit back, I'm not sure if she ever bought anything.  (Other than a line of BS)

Does anyone have any good ones?

I can't buy the spa ... because the dog ate my homework!

OR

I'd love to buy the spa but realized that I'm allergic to water!

OR

You didn't tell me that you couldn't use an extension cord!

How about

The last spa I saw was in 1970 and I really liked that cranberry swirl color!

If you want some more customer excuses I can probably come up with more. ;) ;D ;)

It's really uncanny, but if you buy a spa from me your mother in law will die.  At least that's what "3" different people have used as an excuse over the last 5 years.  The only good news is if you have a mother in law you want to get rid of...I'm your man!

You might also hear others saying:  "George Bush has a Hotspring. No way am I going to buy Hotspring."

or

Hotspring is a town in Arkansas, Clinton is from Arkansas.  No way am I going to buy one of those Bill Clinton Arkansas Hotspring hot tubs."

There is a Master Spa at Camp David and at Windsurdog's.

There is a HotSpring Grandee at the White House.  I believe Reagan, Big Bush, Slick Willie, and Little Bush have all had Grandees.

Big Bush has a Grandee at his home in Kennebunkport.

Little Bush has a HotSpring Vanguard at his ranch in Crawford.

I don't think I'd want to go into that Grandee after Clinton (and a couple interns) were done with it.

Our best excuse lately was the husband died...in bed with another woman.

Widow had to cancel the... Acolade order!

Then she came back a few days later and ordered a Solana TX just for herself!

Some time later I saw the husband in looking at spas again (but with a different woman).  I didnt say anything and when he had a chance, without her hearing he sad that they did get a divorce and now his new girlfriend wanted a hot tub.   Ya gotta appreciate repeat business!!  ;)
