Be careful with products that lock in pH. Most of them kick the calcium from the water, replacing it with a polymer. Where does the calcium go? Some gets trapped in your filter, to be rinsed out. The rest sticks to your heating element. Have seen some nicely coated. The bottle's directions fail to tell you to leave your heater off for 24 hrs. while the calium falls out of solution. Warranty departments do'nt like to see calcified heaters.
