Free spas

I have four used tubs which I would like to see put to good use. If you'll come get one, it's yours at no charge.

I have a customer who will come and pay me $100 each if I load them onto his trailer. He uses them on his ranch to water his cattle.

But he's got about as many as he needs for now, so I thought I would offer them to anyone here who will come get them.

One per family please, no dealers, and they are sold without warranty- do I need to say that about a free tub? Hmm. Most of them were running fine when we removed them, but I have lost track of which was which. They all came from the same resort. I think I only have two covers - first come first served.

They are not the prettiest tubs on the market - they are "Home Spa" models by HotSpring -of course- and are 110 volt. Off-white, slab-top, four jets, one filter, but good simple, deep soaking. Full Foam insulation.

But if you are a DIY kind of guy, and *ESPECIALLY if you will buy your new cover from me   ::) you will be the owner of a HotSpring spa.

Any takers?

If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

THIS IS IMPORTANT.

We take the off-brand spas we get on trade-in and set them in the alley behind our warehouse.  When we come back the next day, they're gone.  I figure they're probably down on the border being converted into condominiums.

That has worked for us before, but I thought it would be nice to know these are actually getting some use. Other than as condos.

We stuck a 6 year old Coleman out there and some guy turned it into a fish pond.  It looked pretty cool!  He had catfish in it.

when we get them on trade-ins, they immediately go to the curb with the free sign on it. Sometimes they last 20 minutes, other times by the next morning they even take the free sign. Don't need the junkers hanging around.
