Chris H in London
« on: February 13, 2006, 06:35:04 pm »
I am in London this week on business.  Anyone got any good ideas for food?  Sometimes I wish I just owned my own spa business because listening to the British say "schedule" just annoys me.

Go to a pub, get some ale and eat fish and chips ... although I've never been out of the States besides Canada.

Better yet......... go to any pub and get some " Bangers and mash". If nothing else you'll have some good stories to tell

Pub grub is the only way to go, also, get out of London as quickly as possible and head for some of the smaller towns. You can get to some neat places in just a short hours drive.

My hubby was in London on a business trip and after several days of "English" food (which he described as bland and boring), NO offence Guzz...He asked his host to go for Italian. They went to a little out of the way place. He said the food was great and when the bill came he handed the waitress his American Express and she got all excited. Apparently the owner of the resturant had the same last name and it turned out was from the same town in Italy as my husband's family. His dinner was free and the whole experience was just unbelievable....Enjoy London Chris...
