If so, I have an extra certificate good for the card game of UNO on Xbox live Arcade. It is a great game.  If anyone wants it , let me know and I will send them the certificate or the code by email.

My sons' put their money together and bought it. My oldest rarely plays video games and my youngest plays it usually. My oldest put up about $300 and my youngest about $50. It pissed me off!

I tried steering my oldest to invest the money in his drum set - new heads or cymbal but I could see the smoke rising from his pocket ...

The kicker of it all is we have PS2, PSP, Game Cube (2 years old), Xbox (1 year old) and assorted Game Boys; now we have XBox 360. A couple of times they attempted to put games on the computer ... THANKFULLY it isn't an extremely powerful computer.

It wouldn't bother me if my oldest really was into it. I guess my youngest is benefitting from my oldest's stupidity.

In 6 months when your oldest is craving something new (drum set improvement, phone, ipod, whatever) you can remind him of this $300......the stupidity is bound to improve!

I hope so!

He already had a "life lesson" and although it turned out for the best, he was devisated when it happened. I guess that I was probably like that as a kid. My wife and I were married 10 years before having kids because I was young in the mind and didn't want any. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree ...

I try to persuade them in their decision making but hey I'm a 47 YO know nothing compared to the brain power of the under 20 age. ;) ;D  Maybe my youngest will big a big wheeler/dealer ... watch out Donald Trump!

Ha Vinny, I just read this thread. My kids did almost the same thing...they pooled their money to get a new PS2 last year..because the original PS2 died (or so they thought). They got the new one (the oldest also putting up the most of the cost) and Mom fixed the old one.
together they decided that since the oldest paid the most, he would have the newer one in his room and the youngest is still happily playing with the older one..I think I just got lucky that it worked out but to be honest..I am sick of video games...SO get outside you darn kids and play... :o
Support your dealer so they can support you!
