well, i should have specified this in the post. the j385 is a year or two old and the manual is one i downloaded of the jacuzzi site. I went over tho the guy that sold it to me house today to get a step, he is a bullfrog dealer that had this jacuzzi as his personal spa until i bought it. I asked him about the gfi thing again and he said that this model and some others, i cant remember the name, sun something i think have internal protection. he showed me that at his location the jacuzzi had no gfi and that the bullfrog he just replaced it with did require one. well i guess i should call jacuzzi tommorow and make sure before we get in. thanks for the warning.
