Just wanted to add a quick summary of the end of our day just now.
I went out back and fired up a nice campfire in our firepit thingy and my 5 yr old twins and I went out and hopped in the ole' hot tub. The kids had a juice box. I did not.
Lets just say that my son will be doing a project at school someday and tell one of his friends that he needs an "absolute screwdriver" and I'm gonna be gettin a phone call.
Anyway, the kids and I sat and watched the fire from our bubbly tub. My wife came out and sat by the fire and we all talked. It was nice. WAS. Then the twins realized their swim goggles were on the shelf by the tub and suddenly I found myself crammed into a corner with my legs drawn up to my chin sipping my now splash-watered drink. It was wonderful. Mom, Dad, kids, all sharing a common place and enjoying time together.
There is something to be said for quality time counting to see how long your children can hold their breath under water.
Anyway, thanks for listening.
