First Day with my tub, oh yeah!!!!!!
« on: July 27, 2005, 10:42:58 pm »
Well it was a real bad day, lots of rain again.  I started thinking that the tub was not going to come today, but to my suprise it arrived.  It was scary and exciting all at the same time.

So the tub came in the back without any issues.  The electrical was spot on and worked right away.  They assembled the bar, stools, steps, planters, cover and lifter.

I had my crash course in chemical use and then they were off.  The tub only took about 1/2 hour to fill 540gal.  The tub went from 54 to 81 in about 2 hours.  I went to the store and laminated everything that I needed and finished off the back with dirt and some other stuff.  Put out the fireplace and now im ready to go.

My wife son and I jumped in around 2pm.  I was only about 83 and a little cold for my enjoyment.  My son and wife loved it.  We had so much fun.  It took a good hour to figure everything out.

After the little guy went down we went back in it.  The tub was 98 and warm.

I really enjoy the big tub with great deep seating.  I find the jets to be incredible.  the only complaint about the new 2005 arctic jets is that they spin left to right to turn them on or off.  i dont really like it but I can live with it.

I find the control system easy to operate and really like the lay out of it.  I am going to be really getting to know the tub, and yes I can finally say it, I am in spatopia.

That is awfully fast heating.
We get maybe 4 to 5 degrees per hour.

WOW, that is fast heating! My 400 gal tub takes about 12 hours to heat from 55 to 100.

The "maiden soak" was the "fun soak"  for me, playing with all the knobs, turning on/off light, changing the colors and turning on/off the air control to see what it all did!

Now that I have it a while, I have relaxing soaks and love it! Come out feeling like melted butter - a great feeling!

Maybe it heated so fast because it was recovering the heat from the pumps......and because it is hot in our province right now. When I was selling Coleman I was very impressed with how fast they heated, among other things.

Boscoe,  I see you live in the HAMMER. What part? Mountain East/West? Westdale? East end? Just curious.

I like the looks of the layout.  I hope to see on in person someday. Still no dealers anywhere near me.

hottubman.  How do you know the term, the Hammer.  Not many do, it seems to be people in my line of work that know that term.
I live on west mountain.  Where abouts are you and what do you do for a living.  I have an idea but I may be wrong.

I live in Oshawa, work in Whitby. I sell Hydropool hot tubs.

I went to McMaster. That is where I learned the term Hammer. Lived in Westdale and downtown. More recently I lived in Burlington and worked at a store I would bet you shopped. It is the one you can see from the 403/QEW @ Guelph line.
