My wife is about the same height, and in one seat in our Optima she sits pretty deep, the others she's fine.
Not sure if the Maxxxxxxxus is any deeper or not.
You'll know soon enought, and there are always boosters if she needs.

I didnt wet test because I didnt think it was all that importent, the dealer didnt stress trying them out at all.. they just mentioned it. And then I found this site after having signed on the dotted line.

It is arriving tomorow night.

And to make things worst, I am leaving friday for the entire weekend. ARGH!

well you already bought it, so maybe this is a moot point? Or can you cancel and take a few more weeks to make up your mind?

I guess she can always use a booster seat that many dealers carry.

At this point it may be easier to switch out for a taller spouse than a shallower spa!! ;)

hehehe.... I do have a few tall increadibly georgous friends that I could defenttly swap to hehehe...

But alas, I j ust baught the house with her so she is here to stay.

And no turning back on the spa now. I just hopr she will fit in at least a couple of seats without a booster seat.

For cost effectiveness it would cost less to switch spas

Well, I thought the same three years ago (that wet testing wasn't needed, not that I could swap the spouse...  ;D ), but we got a spa that felt fine dry, but she and to some extent I floated a lot in the lounger.  She's short(er), also, so I'd definitely, if you have a chance *at all* take the opportunity to wet test even at this late date.  If you really find the Max to not fit, perhaps you can substitute another Sundance for the Max;  I've heard here that many of them fit people totally differently.  They have many models for just that reason!

We intend to get a Max, also, sometime soon, but/and will definitely wet test this time to be sure we both fit!

Don't worry, the Maxxus is an incredible spa. You can't go wrong with that one!

Booster seat is probably the only way to go!

I'll be interested in hearing how she does in the Maxxus!

I'm sure she will be OK in most of the seats.  It's amazing how different everyone is.  Some folks buy on a whim without wet testing and others take two years to decide wet testing every model until they can't make a decision...
2005 Hot Spring Envoy still going strong. Million-Mile Club....

I want to get in the spa business so I can surf the internet and use Photoshop all day long.

no need to worry. my wife is 5'4" and we have a maxxus. she loved it within 5 minutes of wet testing it. she can use every seat including lounger without any floating. it also has plenty of room to very comfortably stretch out. the maxxus is a great tub; no need to switch. we also tested cameo and didn't like it as much; the foot jets were awkward to reach. don't look back, look forward to many relaxing soaks!

Thank you everyone.

I do feel more reassured.
Will post an update next week when we get the tub.

I'm reassured by all the comments, also, since mine doesn't want to wet test, and it will be hard to get her to do so.. <sigh>.  I think one thing that's a big plus for the Max is the foot dome, which for the non-lounger seats, gives you something to push against.  Our last didn't have that.

Here also, all Max reviews welcomed!
