Poll gang, I want to know what made you decide on the hot tub that you bought or if your going to be buying one, what is the reason your looking for one??

just cause it was the right thing to do

I had an extra 8 grand lying around and I started to think about all those poor starving hot tub salesmen and thought to myself "there must be something I can do."

Plus my wife didn't think we were using our fair share of electricity.  


Actually for relaxation and entertaining. The hot tub really made the cold new england winters so much better. With the hot tub I can get outside, look at the stars, enjoy the backyard in the dead of winter .

I wanted some relief for stress.  It sure is nice, after a long day at work, to go home and release the day's tension from my neck and shoulders!

Plus, I have wanted one forever!!!  Since I gave in to my hubby's want for a greenhouse the year before, I got the hot tub to appease me!!!

The goddess is now happy, relaxed, and nearly stress free!!!!

I don't have a huge backyard... no one does where I live.  The previous owner had an above ground pool and raised deck that literally consumed the ENTIRE SPACE.  I still wanted "something" so a hottub it was.  Much more useful IMO since it's year round.  

What gave me the idea... was after a really hard day of skiing (I way over did it) I felt absolutely terrible until I got into this outdoor hottub at the Killington Resort Hotel... I felt like a million bucks after that.  Totally sealed the deal.

I got it for a few reasons.. I always liked the hot tubs at hotels... and my yard cannot accomidate a decent size pool without looking like crap and leaving me no room for a patio, dog ect. (GF's parents would have given us there 24foot above ground pool).

A spa makes a lot of sens in todays rediculously sized yards.

For some reaon they always attracted me, hell a few years ago when I was still in school living at my parents I was looking at them... they are cool to look at indeed.

Cant waite to actually sit in mine.

Very good point.  I live in Columbus, Ohio and everyday I drive by quarter to two million dollar houses that are butted up against each other with no yards.  My yard couldn't fit anything bigger than a kiddy pool.

And lastly since I plan on moving within a few years.. I wouldnt want some guy to tell me he doesnt want to pay extra for my in ground pool for my house...

With the spa, you dont want to pay extra for it? Then its comming with me! hehehe

I hear ya, Over at Sunday River they have a huge outdoor heated pool and hot tub. Sitting outside in the winter in a hot tub is great and started me thinking about how great would it be to have my own tub...."

Of course, those comunity tubs are a bit gross....last febuary when i was there, an older gentleman is sitting in the hot tub and is complety covered in foam smilling away....

I was on Vacation and used the Hot Tub there. I loved it and slept well. We picked one up and it has been great. Even better than i thought it would be. I love the winter months now.
