Hot or Cold

I am planning to do my first water change tomorrow and was wondering if I should use warm water to fill the tub? I have a combi boiler and so I cannot see any problems. Gas is cheaper than Electricity, I can use my tub quicker than waiting for it to heat by itself, so all seems good. What do you guys think? Are there any downsides to this method with water chemistry, PH, TA, etc?

The only concern I would have is managing the temperature of the water you are putting in.  Some boilers make it pretty hot, and that could damage the spa.  If your boiler water is really hot, I would suggest filling halfway with cold water and then hot.

Not a problem to do so but I would cautious to not drain your tank completely due to calcium or possible rust in the bottom of the tank.

I should be alright there as it is a combi boiler and therefore has no tank. The water is heated as it passed through a heater matrix just like an electric shower. This means that you never get water sitting in a rusty old tank.

Steve brings up a very good point - but it sounds like you have a heat-exhcanger so this may not apply. However, James' point about keeping the temp under control cannot be overstressed !!
