Do you know where this pic came from. The life ring appears to say USNS H.G. Matthewsen (maybe it is USCG or something else all together but I don't think so) but I can't find any info on such a vessel.

I believe it's a research ship in Antarctica.

I've seen the picture a few times, just can't specifically remember where.
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals
