Welcome to our forum.
I know Vegas well, probably to well. I go to Vegas at least once a year for some vacation, but I have never traveled from California to Vegas just wondered if it is worth it. I checked online and it looks like it is only an hour flight or so. I think I am going to book it, but anymore opinions would be greatly appreciated.
I haven't done it for awhile, but I remember that it just gets up to altitude and then begins the descent. Not overy expensive if you shop a bit - and the LV airports (there are two main one) have plenty of free shuttles to hotels and casinos on the strip.
I have always wondered - how do those places pay for all that incredible lighting, fancy fountains, giant towers and other amazing stuff??? I mean, they don't even charge sales tax !!
They get by on donations alone. I've found it in my heart to leave the good folk running those establishments a donation or two over the years.
Just got back, still kinda fried, will give a full report this weekend. Had dinner with Mendencino (man can that guy eat!), charged it to Steves room, still wondering if Steve got the bill!
