Should be.  Depending on the quality of the brand.  I would still advocate buying a good quality brand.  For years Hot Spring was only available in 110 and were very efficient.

The 220 gives you the ability to run the heater at the same time as the jet pump being on.  So if it is a cooler night and you are in the tub for a long period of time, maybe entertaining, the 110 would not be able to kick the heater on.

I wouldnt base my decision solely on 110 vs 220 ( or 221 whatever it takes.  Sorry, old Mr. Mom movie reference )

Hey. You're new and we've used that line many times so back off Jack. That's one of my ALL time favorite movie lines that I quote far too often (usaully the other person doesn't get it).
220, 221, whatever it takes!

I know, I say that too and usually get a weird look. ( But I'm used to that. )

As for the "new guy" part.  I am trying to CLEP my way through the Gen Eds so I can become a big shooter.   :)

Hey salesdvl, keep rolling the dice, you'll hit it big some day.

Go with 110 in Tucson but like salesdvl said, make sure it's a quality spa.

I love movie quotes, and that's one of my favorites, too.

Temple4u- you can always switch to 220 in the future if you need to.

I'd pass up on the 221, though. In your climate 220 should be enough.  Up here with our cold winters, 221 or even 222 should be considered
