Spa Temp

This has been asked before I'm sure but what temp do you guys keep your spa at?


Mine is at 101.

so far I have mine at 100 once it starts to get colder out I will proabably bump it up to 101.  Thats warm enough for me.  In the summer I keep it at around 95, but it usually warms up a little.

98 F year around. At this temp I and my delicious fashion model friends can tub all day. But at night....

Here is some info on water temps that have been shared with me by spa manufacturers.

At 101.3 most virus' and bacteria will stop multiplying in your body.

At 103 white blood cell count triples, endorphans start to be released in your body

Choose a temp that you are comfortable with. Your body will tell you what you like. As mentioned above, most tub owners enjoy different temps at different times of the year.

I like the water at 101.  My wife likes it to be 104.  So we compromise and I set it at 104.

So.  the first 11 temps given adds to 1106.3 divided by 11 would give us an average temp of 100.57.

These are body temps right?
Just because your water is 103 doesn't mean your body will be on the assault. Any idea how long it would take your body to reach 103 in a tub at 103, (if even possible while keeping your head above water)?

This does make me wonder if regular hot tub use at high temps would keep you from contracting illness
- based strictly upon regularly raising your body temp to combat the nasties

I too had to compromise and now keep our tub at 103F

Whenever I "feel" a cold coming on I just spend a bit more time in the hot tub. By the next day I feel fine once again....... HOWEVER, I tend to like a temp that's a wee bit higher than what has so far been posted here.

Check out hypothermia therapy (or is it hypErthermia...... I can never remember. One is hot, the other cold))

BTW, I have my tub at a wimpy 97 right now....had it at 95 over the summer and may bump it a bit for the dead of winter....I'll get back with you on that one.....

Come on Windy, venture into the scary world of triple digit water.  It only hurts for a minute.  And yes, I think mine are pickled somewhere in an old Mason jar.  lol
