????? about using Metal/stain control product
« on: October 18, 2004, 10:41:46 am »
We have our new Marquis Euphoria tub. Need to add a little more water for the first time. Do I need to add a bit more Metal/Stain control stuff again???? We had a problem on the initial fill up and after 3-4 days had a major science project to deal with. Need an answer ASAP. also should I remove the Bromine cartridge till the other is absorbed???? Thanks

I guess the theoretical answer would be yes.  However, I doubt that most people go through the trouble of adjusting the stain and scale amount to >20 gals.  I would assume that most on this forum do not add extra stain and scale when topping off water levels.  As you have probably read before a lot of "newbies"  over manage thier water.

I do not add any metal control to the water when I top off.  If you top off on a regular basis and do not add too much water at one time, you should not have an issue.

You should be able to leave your bromine floater in while topping off.
