Coast Spa 1600 swim spa - Should I buy?
« on: May 26, 2020, 01:56:20 am »
My wife and I have looked at several models of swim spas and have narrowed it down to this model. The price is more than we initially wanted to pay but Im willing to pay for quality. Does anyone have experience with this brand? It seems like to me that they are using high quality component and good strong shells but maybe there is something Im missing.

Thanks for any advise.

If you buy a swim spa without a divider between the swim end and the hot tub end and be able to set each end at different temps...do you swim in 104 degree water and risk overheating yourself when swimming or hot tub in cooler 80-90 degree water temp so that swimming is comfortable?

I tell anyone buying a swim spa... try it out.

We normally push wet testing... but swim spas are more important to try out in my opinion as you don't want to get it in your backyard and find out you hate the swim current.

Based on what I know about Coast, I'm sure it's well made, and as long as your dealer is good, I sure you'd be okay support wise.  Again, swim in it.  That should be your determining factor.

You make a good point D00nut. After reading some other posts where people suggest just getting a smaller swim spa and a separate spa for jet therapy. We decided to go that route. I still like the Coast models but we are going to get the smaller 13 footer and one of the Curve series hot tubs.

Thanks
