I was at my local dealer today and was asking about the Covermate 3 lifter. I was interested in the 2020 Models of the Jacuzzi 355 model. The new models for the 2 and the 3 series are now following the lead of the 4 series in that there is a new outer cabinet style that you can choose from by default.

He called one of his contractors that he subs the delivery/installation work to and that person said they tried installing the CoverMate III on that new cabinet style and was unable to correctly install it. Apparently, the shell butts out over the cabinet and the covermate 3 lift hardware rubs the shell and does not cleanly move back and forth.
Can anyone confirm if that's indeed the case? The Jacuzzi 400 series has had this same design and cabinet available for at least a year, but i havn't seen any comments about the CoverMate III not working with it.
