Trade Certified - Does it mean anything?

Is the Trade Certified approval mean anything, when choosing a dealer?  Should it carry any weight in our decision making?

There is a very soft curriculum you need to meet, and that is after you pay a yearly premium.  It is from a publication, and while the publication is of quality, it is not bound by any legal or safety requirements.  In short - it is more marketing than substance.
