Fixing or finding an old Bullfrog JetPak
« on: July 29, 2018, 04:05:18 pm »
Hi all,

Im still  loving my 2009 Bullfrog 662, its a beauty.   I am getting concerned however, that I cannot seem to find replacement JetPaks for the generation 1 line (they switched the jetpacks somewhere around 2013).  Most of the stores dont sell the old ones, and I cannot seem to find used ones (you would think there would be extras from no longer used tubs)

Anyway, I am asking because it is the only thing on my tub I do not know how to fix.   If a jetpack breaks, like if I need to replace a jet, is that possible, or do you need to find a whole knew pak?

Anyone have experiencing fixing them, or know where to find used ones?

I have thought about replacing one "massager" on one of my jetpacks to some other standard jet, as I do not like the massager, but i do not know how they "seal" or "crimp" the pipes going into the valve.  Is there some hot sealer that does this?

They can be still ordered from the factory, limited styles and colors though. And pretty spendy!   Might try Ebay and see if anyone is selling them.

As stated, any dealer can order them still and should be able to for the foreseeable future.  They wouldn't leave their customers hanging like that.  You can also get parts and simply repair many issues.  I have a 2004 jetpak in my shop right this moment, actually.  Ordered parts and got them 4 days later.  Much easier to fix on a workbench than in your backyard.  Less expensive too!

I don't understand the question in your last sentence.

Thanks for the reply.   I am beginning to think my local dealer is just run badly because I. Have now found out of town dealers who can sell them for me.

My last question was this.  I'll reword it.   I have a jet pack with a massager.   The massager has a pipe going into it from a manifold or a split of pipes from the jetpak.   I want to  remove the massager, cut the pipe and attach it to a jet.  So the old massager jetpak will just be a regular jet seat
I have a jet that fits.   Problem is I do not know how to attach the pipe to the jet.   Do they clamp, or seal?  Is there a product I need to look into.

I still have no idea what you are saying.  What do you mean by massager vs regular jet?  I understand clamp, but what do you mean by seal when you ask "does it clamp or seal"?  The plumbing is glued into the jets, if that answers your question.  But that's pretty obvious when you look at it so I'm confused.  It's not as simple as cutting the plumbing and gluing another jet in place though.  Please don't take any offense, but based on the way you ask your question I would probably suggest that you avoid messing with it.
