New to Hot Tubs - Few Questions
« on: November 27, 2017, 05:36:02 pm »
We landed on a Marquis Vector 94L - Delivered, Steps (cheap ones), Cover, Lift, In line, and upgraded lighting for $7,995. I'm financing for 60 months and got a decent rate. not 0% though. Is this a good price? Good Tub? should have in the next 3-4 weeks. Gray outside and Cover with winter Solstice color inside.

I was told if I put these black plastic square pieces on flat ground, the tub would be supported? Is that an ok base? what about these? http://ezpads.com/installation.html

Any other tips and tricks for a newbie?

Yes that’s a real good price. As a Marquis dealer I don’t know how some of you get these prices on this forum. Whereabouts are you located?  Ez pads work as long as the topsoil is removed first so it doesn’t settle

V94L is a great spa, like Hottubguy said, that price is really good.  They sell for $10,000+ in most parts of the country with those options.

Really can't get anyone in trouble unless an out of area dealer undercuts your local dealer.

Did that financing come from the dealer or did you get that on your own?  Either way, great price.  I believe I was at $8999 with full foam, but I'm also in a super competitive market.  If your in Wisconsin, you likely bought from a good dealer.

In MO, the dealer set up financing through a bank. They mentioned buying down the normal rate. We’re paying 5.9% I think.

Must've grinded that dealer good. I'm sure you will love that tub. I don't sell many with lounge but I've had good luck selling the vectors. Other then a few jet pod issues at the beginning no other issues out in the field

I struggled with the lounger decision and even bought a V84 w out a lounger first. Then went back and got the 94 w lounger. My buddy has a really small Viking  and I use that lounger every time. So I figure it will be used a lot. Plus this one is so big that it doesn’t take up the whole side. Excited and feeling a bit impatient!

I have the same tub I like the Lounger. Tub has 5 seats with great therapy and the volcano jet.

I was never able to wet test a V94L before I switched dealers, but sitting in it dry, I liked the lounge.  To me, it was a cross between a lounger and an adirondack chair.

No offense to Conine but don't put much stock in the fact that the lounge worked for him (/her) on the model in question, that is not necessarily indicative of what you may find when you get in. Conversely, when someone says they struggled with a lounge in a particular spa it is not in any way a slight on the design of that spa and the next person may very well have the opposite results.

Wet testing a spa before purchase is always recommended but when you're considering a lounge spa its even MORE important to take that extra step.

I never got to wet test this tub, sat in it dry and liked the depth and angle of the lounger

Great but wish I had a dollar for everyone who has ever liked the spa setup in a dry sit only to not like it so much in a wet test. Take the extra step.

Congrats on the new tub.   You'll love it.   I have the regular V94,  really very happy with it.  Everyone loves the lights & the inline system is really great.
