Eliminating the “scum line”
« on: October 21, 2017, 01:08:32 pm »
Hello everyone, I’m having a brownish build up of scum along the waterline and I am using the clean all product from spa Depot along with a sponge to try to wipe it off and it is not coming off very easily at all.   Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on how to easily remove the scum line from a hot tub?

Here are some options:

1.  Magic Eraser
2.  Overfill tub and hit it hard with your sanitizer
3.  If its not *actually* scum but rather a metal deposit then try citric acid- If that removes it, try a metal remover.

I'm sure there are more remedies but I'm currently out of ideas

Baking soda on a dish rag will work also.  Product called enzyme by leisure time will help sometimes.
