Staining

Hi All

New to this forum so bear with me if my post is vague in any which way. I've drained my hot tub and am attempting to remove some staining which has built up over time. So far I've found no posts online which have helped so am hoping someone on this forum has some pearls of wisdom  :D

If I were to describe this stain I would say it looks like someone took some white chalk and drew a line around the waterline. Feels about the same as the spa shell - smooth, it is not scratchable with the fingernail.

So far I've tried the following to remove it: Dazzle Stain & Scale, vinegar, baking soda, magic eraser, and CLR with no success. Anybody have any idea where to go from here to remove it AND what caused it?

Many thanks,
JD

Welcome to the forum!  I would think someone should have a solution for you! I would have tried the vinegar and magic eraser, but sounds like you already did that!
