5 year anniversary of our Jacuzzi
« on: July 05, 2017, 09:31:45 pm »
We just passed our 5th anniversary of enjoying our first dip in our Jacuzzi.
My husband's firs post here.
https://www.whatsthebest-hottub.com/forum/index.php/topic,15741.msg168645.html#msg168645
We bought it from a couple who didn't use it, May 2012.
According to the Jacuzzi dealer it was 3 years old, but it was new to us 5 years ago and we've been happy Jacuzzi owners every since.
We've replaced a pump or two along the way, as well as some minor fixes and maintenance, but its still running strong and we're just as happy with it today as we were 5 years ago.
Then

Recently with some added patio features, fire pit, new patio lights.

Special thanks goes out to members here for their advice when we were in the purchasing process.
Advice we got included(but not exclusive to)
  • Location location location - If placement isn't convenient, you won't use it
  • Chemical balance - keep it simple but keep it balanced
  • Bare truth - Its easier to keep the chemistry balanced if bathing suites aren't introduced

Our own rules for the hot tub are basic
  • No peeing
  • No glass
  • No drama
  • Never a bad idea to use the hot tub
  • Use the hot tub at least 4 days a week - it needs us as much as we need it

Great post, thanks for coming back and letting us know.
Thank you.  This community was very helpful with ideas and set up when we were getting things sorted out.
Me and my husband actually own a ski related community and we appreciate it when people take the time to report back, so it makes sense that you kind folks should know that we' appreciate you.

Thanks.
It seems like we do a little something on the patio every year. We are outdoor kind of people so we spend more time out there than inside when possible.

RE Rules: Keep it simple and enjoy the soak.
When we got our tub we bought 6 bathrobes in a variety of sizes to have on hand. Its been a big hit for visiting friends.
