Gelcoat Repair?
« on: April 07, 2016, 09:13:26 pm »
We have an ancient Coleman tub that I've managed to keep going through the years.  I have a bunch of small cracks along the top edges and some under the water line in the gelcoat.  No leaks just ugly.  Is there a clear sandable repair that I can fill them with?

I've never done it, but there are gelcoat repair kits available at most marine boating shops...maybe try there?

Are you sure it's gelcoat, and not acrylic????
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals
