Used Beachcomber 750
« on: February 25, 2016, 06:59:35 am »
I'm looking at a loaded 2013 Beachcomber 750. It is a private party sale from original owner, accent lights, hush pump, fancy stereo, hydraulic cover lift, hybrid stuff, 8 person. I'm going to check it out on Friday, is $5000 a fair price for something like this. Any opinions about this tub in general?

We tried out the Beachcomber today and it felt like a big party tub but not very therapeutic. The Jets didn't seem to have the deep tissue massage that we think we want. I was very surprised, I figured the BC 750 would have a hi end feel to it and it really wasn't any better than the no name big box store party tub that came and went with our old house. When I pulled back the step motor cover housing the pump motors were really hot, couldn't hold my hand on them hot, is this normal for most hot tubs? Also do the UV sterilizers help or are they just a pricey add on that doesn't really matter?

Normal.
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals
