Which Chlorine Dichlor

Is there any difference between Leslies Pool Color Brite granualr dichlor  8 lbs and the Spa Choice chlorine dichlor other than size ?
I'm looking for the most cost effective way and i figured the 8 lbs Color Brite is a pretty good deal.

Yes, those are the same thing. Either one can be used in the spa.

Since we know these sanitizers lose effectiveness over time is it wise to buy large quantities or better to buy something like a 6 month supply?  I'm not sure what a 6 month supply amounts to for the average spa owner so maybe someone can speak to that as well?

Dichlor won't go bad very quickly.  The main chlorine that loses strength is chlorinating liquid especially when it is more concentrated.  Bleach also loses strength but because its lower in concentration it doesn't lose it as quickly.  This post shows the rate of breakdown of chlorine in 12.5% chlorinating liquid and in 8.25% bleach as a function of temperature.
