Caldera Tahitian (2002-2009 series) Chemical help
« on: August 26, 2015, 08:46:15 pm »
Hello hot tub experts!

I am in need of assistance in determining which chemicals will be best to use for an older Caldera Hot tub that a was left with a home we'd purchased in 2011. The hot tub originally came from Watkins. It's a Caldera Tahitian and has a Monarch system. I'm having a hard time with balancing the chemicals. Can anyone assist in recommending chemicals to use with this tub? We use chlorine now but I would like to know what is the easiest to maintain and what are our options to use for this type of tub?
Thanks for any help!

I can't recommend any chemicals. Try not to use any. But you have to use a sanitizer (chlorine) to keep the nastys your body introduces to the tub water in check. As far as water balance if you tell us your current PH/Alk readings we can recommend what is best for adjusting those.
