When you get your Jacuzzi's make sure you move the JUMPER in the board to J7.....The jumpers come at J5 from the factory to use 50 amps.jacuzzi told me it would cost more with the 60 amps because of the heater.Thats strange my dealer didnot even know they came that way.Wondering if the Sundances come the same way since they are made by the same people....johnny Thunders 8)

Sundance tubs come set for 30, 40, 50, or 60 amps, depending on the size of the tub.  Their Portofino series tubs come with taps for 120V and 15 amps, or 240V and either 25 or 40 amps.

The manufacturer web site provides the specifications for each tub.

Don't move or have that jumper moved unless you install a 60 amp breaker for you tub.  Many standard spa installations use 50 amp breakers.

Our tub came configured for a 50 amp breaker, I just had the dealer move the jumper to allow for the 60 amp breaker that I installed.
There was also an option for setting up at for a 30 amp breaker.

Make sure you don't install a 60 amp breaker unless you have the proper sized wire to handle 60 amps as well.

In most cases, you can use the same wire for 60 amp as for 50 (6 gauge copper THWN wire, in my case).

OUr wire gauge is the same size and we have the 60amp breaker. Our Optima did come configured for the 50amp, and it was the responsibility of the dealer to move the jumper during installation. Which he did.

Well just letting the good people of this site know that the settings are at 50 amps when they get the spa.....Thought they would be 60 amps and glad Jacuzzi told me that all their spas are set at 50 amp.Even the guy that sets up the spas thought they were 60 amps until i told him and he moved the jumper for me.So for the new Jacuzzi owners and older ones make sure that the settings are set at J7 on the Circuit board inside the spa....Johnny Thunders ::)
