possible purchase, garden leisure GL862 B (help!) :)
« on: November 22, 2014, 09:41:57 pm »
Thank you all for all the helpful information on this forum.

My wife and I have been looking at a "Garden Leisure GL862 B" hot tub/spa and would really like some input from all the vast knowledge here.
The Dealer tells us it has a 5yr warranty, and he has it marked at $6,900.00 (he says its actually a $8,900.00 spa but they have a $2,000.00 off sale going on.

When we do purchase a spa, we are going to put it in our 1 Car Garage and use a dehumidifier in the garage. We do not yet have 220v in the garage but that will be remedied.

Living in N. Central Indiana, we have our fair share of bad weather, and i'd prefer the spa to be out of the weather.

can someone please give us some reviews on this company Garden Leisure, and if possible this particular model as well? :)

As this is our 1st spa, I have no idea if there are Black Friday Sales for Spa's or not, and Id really like to get the ball rolling, so to speak, A.S.A.P.

The dealer selling it is local and says he could have it delivered in about 3 hours.

Thank you again for your time and information. 8)

What other choices do you have in the area?

i think Durasport. so its those 3 brands that are available locally in town. we do have a Sams Club in town, but i have not looked there for a hot tub. There is also a Menards and a Lowes. I have not looked at those places for a hot tub, only the local spa stores have we been in. We want to support the local spa dealers if possible.

I've been unimpressed with Royal, they were only available here a short time.   Latitude wise I'm probably about the same as you. We use our hot tub outside around 345 days a year.

I don't know much about garden leisure and have never heard of royal. Durasport is a decent no frills entry level spa. You should be able to pick up one of those for under 4k. 7k for a garden leisure seems a lot for a brand that isn't well known when you could get many of the better brands for that same price point
