2014 Sundance Optima - Eastern Ontario
« on: May 30, 2014, 02:18:06 pm »
Here are some pics of our new 2014 Sundance Optima (platinum color with mocha cabinet).

This photo is a side view where we plan to build a casual bar (the chairs/stools are there and ready).  All of this will fit under the existing gazebo.

This photo is from the other side.

This photo is from the side of the pool.

Looks great. I purchased that same gazebo last fall and it held up great with all the snow we had last winter here in upstate New York. Enjoy.

How are you liking your Sundance Optima???   We are looking at getting a Sundance Optima, Cameo or Altamar.   Our first hot tub!!      Are the jets too powerful?    We have heard that perhaps the 880 series has so much power, versus the 780 series that it is almost too violent.    I know it is a  personal thing, and we will be wet testing…but wanted to get opinions.   Thank you!

Beautiful set up by the way!!!

Very nice. I want to know more about that gazebo. I like the non-canvas top. Would you mind sharing a website of someone that sells them?

Morning spoiledrotten  as I said in my prior post I have the same gazebo in my yard.  I purchased it last year at Sears on a sale for $800.00. It held up very well with all the snow we had here in upstate NY last winter.  I definitely recommend this product but be prepared to spend a day to put it together.

Hello, in June we bought our third hot tub and went with a 2014 Sundance Cameo. We don't like it at all. We can't keep the water clear and I (full sized female) float out of every seat. We previously had an Altimar and we liked everything about it. That purchase was in 2001. Please wet test every tub model that interests you and stay away from Sundance.

Why should people stay away from Sundance? Just because you don't like the Optima? And because you can't keep the water clear? That's ridiculous. Sundance makes a good tub.
You said yourself your previous tub was the Sundance Altamar and you liked it. You haven't said there is anything defective with the Optima. All you've said is that it didn't suit you and you can't keep the water clear. And because of this others should stay away from Sundance? Sorry, I don't think so.
